A Brief History
There has been a Richardson's smokehouse in Orford for at least 2 generations.
About 20 years ago Steve decided to re-open his Grandfather's Smokehouse in Orford. Initially, he started to smoke Mackerel on Fridays and then take them around the local Pubs to sell.
When he was made redundant, about 18 years ago, he then started smoking a few other things. The demand for high quality local delicacies soon meant that he had to open a shop to serve customers better.

About a year later Veronica joined him as business partner. Tim their son, who is now twenty-three, recently joined the firm and is steadily learning the smoking process. Tim will be the third generation of Richardson working a smokehouse in Orford.
